I Woke with the Village is a children’s book about a city-born girl visiting her grandparents in the countryside during summer vacation. The story unfolds from her perspective and is condensed into the experience of a single day in their old house. As she encounters many unfamiliar things, her attitude gradually shifts: her initial disinterest turns into quiet fascination, and she begins to fall in love with this new environment.  

This project continues my interest in memory-based and mood-driven storytelling. It carries a nostalgic tone and celebrates a deep appreciation for the natural environment—something many people rarely have the chance to experience. It is also an invitation to slow down and rediscover the quiet beauty of everyday life.
