The Days That Were is a picture book accompanied by short poems, building a private museum of memories. It records five old objects linked to the lives of my grandparents and their children, retracing fragments of stories connected to them. These everyday belongings gather to illuminate the days of the past, carrying the precious memories of an ordinary Northeastern Chinese family.
